Mission and values of the project

Kat’n’Go is the result of eighteen years of experience in adventure tourism and mountaineering, merging international service standards with deep emotional engagement in travel experiences. This project is based on the mission and values of its visionary founders.

Our mission is to create a unique experience for our guests through a unique product, thus:

The company operates autonomously and possesses all necessary equipment and gear. When involving partners, equipment undergoes thorough inspection by our specialist and maintenance when needed. Kat’n’Go operates strictly within the legal framework, is licensed (24030272), and employs trained and certified guides. Traveler safety is our top priority. Traveler safety is our top priority.

Founders and team

Kat’n’Go is not our only project in this area; in parallel, we are developing a global vision for tourism development in the region and a master plan of measures to implement an exemplary format of careful and sustainable interaction between man and nature using the example of the Katon-Karagay National Park.

Early childhood in a remote Altai village. Secondary school and youth in the city of Balkhash, then Almaty: university, active civic position, environmental campaigns, the love of a lifetime and many acquaintances with interesting people. A little later, a big business in the catering industry. Later, Astana happened. And here we have Dauren Erlanovich.

The Kat’n’Go project was born about 13 years ago, when young and ambitious guys met in Astana, at one of the events dedicated to tourism.
Then there was a series of tourism projects, in which they took an active part together with like-minded people. Facebook project “How to develop tourism in Kazakhstan”, project “Tourism is everyone’s business” and many other interesting things. After that, everyone had their own life path, which brought a lot of experience and knowledge to the common piggy bank. As a result, it was decided to create the Ka’n’Go project

Life is an amazing thing, so many things have happened to me over the years, all sorts of things have happened. But every day I remember my homeland, my home, and I want to go back there madly. To smell the hay lying in the sleigh, rushing through the forest under the runners of which the snow crunches dully and the bitter frost bites your nose. And these unbearable felt boots and hat, earflaps...

From early youth, he was drawn to discoveries and adventures. He was engaged in mountaineering, took on deadly rapids on a catamaran, raced a motorcycle through the deserts and even managed to fly. By the will of fate, for 18 years, together with a large team, he created unique routes in Central Asia for foreign travelers.

What we haven’t done, where we haven’t traveled. I “traded” my million kilometers back in 2014. I’ve traveled to 56 countries around the world. But when I got to Cato in 2019, I found the very place where, for completely inexplicable reasons, I wanted to stay forever.

Our team has no amateurs or random people. Everyone involved in organizing journeys through Katon shares our values, is reliable, highly experienced, and deeply in love with Altai.

Tourist, naturalist, traveler, snowmobiler, motorcyclist, pilot, water sports enthusiast, climber, and off-road master. 19 years in adventure tourism. Mountaineer — summited over 7,000 meters seven times. Astrophotographer and landscape artist.

Over 13 years with our team. Once literally shielded Anatoly from a shotgun blast. A man of few words, always ready for any adventure and never afraid to jump into action.

Asylbek Barmyshev:

A quiet and humble agashka (respected elder). Always there to help, always notices the little things, never panics. Loves driving through mud and “jazzing it up” across the steppe.

A talented manager and an incredibly knowledgeable person — you could discuss global and local economics, business processes, and the intricacies of big business with him endlessly. A perfectionist, a lover of order, and someone who never skips his morning workout.

Candidate Master of Sports in mogul skiing, alpine ski instructor.
An experienced guide in mountain, horseback, and cycling expeditions. Has been roaming the mountains since childhood. A true morning person.

A creative spirit with a guide’s skills — handles horses, campfires, tents, and even crossing wild rivers with ease. Her main talent? Creating the perfect mood for our guests.

An architect by profession, a traveler by calling. Not much of a talker — a true introvert. But once you start a conversation, you’ll realize — this man holds an entire universe within him.

Master of all sports — literally. The person responsible for planning every detail of the journey. Plays every musical instrument, can’t be burned by fire, never gets lost in the forest. A true snow lover and professional snowboard coach.
